How does Spec Studio™ work?

Spec Studio™ uses the IBM Cognos Report Studio XML to extract the report schema information; through an interactive wizard the business analyst and/or developer enters the business and functional requirements of the report. Both are then merged in the final output.

Spec Studio™ obtains a complete description of each report object and uses this to calculate all dependencies and will, therefore show correct information even if the report has multiple sources. The built in wizard editor allows you to quickly add descriptions to new objects.
