Always have a Health Check Up

Following a number of growing concerns with the timing and performance of their BPW solution Finnings UK invited Assimil8 to give the Lawson BPW datawarehouse over Movex a thorough Health Check.   Following a number of reccomendations Finnings have embarked upon a programme to re-configure the ETL process whereby Assimil8 have been engaged to significantly reduce the Extract and processing times of their overnight datawarehouse process.  

Assimil8 deliver more reporting solutions, using IBM Cognos, to ICAP Investment Bank

Nov 2009 found Assimil8 joining ICAP investment bank’s London Risk Department, providing reporting solutions over their Operational Risk Management System OpenPages.

Using  IBM Cognos, Assimil8 are developing a number of report packs and dashboards to cover the company’s global processes, risks, controls and KRI’s.
 

Assimil8 appoints Mike Nutter as Non-Executive Director

Assimil8 has appointed Mike Nutter to help devise a powerful growth strategy and accelerate the expansion of the Company towards the achievement of this vision.  Mike brings a wealth of IT industry experience with him having worked as an IBM Business Partner for over 20 years, with the founding of Intentia UK and its growth from 4 to 250 employees being one of his significant achievements.
 

Mike is currently Business Development Director for Merit Globe, which is Head-Quartered in Norway, and is a Platinum Channel Partner for Lawson Software.
 

Assimil8 keep topping up existing IBM Cognos 8 Certifications

August 09, Nick Horsfall adds further professional excellence to the team in attain the following certifications;
 

IBM Cognos 8 BI Metadata Model Developer
IBM Cognos 8 BI Scorecard Developer
 

The certifications are now tough exams held in centres throughout the UK, upon successful results in the examination Nick has been able to add these to his IBM Information Management Professional accreditations.
 

TNT extend the adoption of centralised Datawarehouse processes.

TNT have  engaged with Assimil8 in an assignment to assist in a complex datawarehouse study and process redevelopment and migration for UK  business operations.
